Smooth processes with safety light-beam sensors
Safety single-beam sensors are particularly compact. They are used, for example, for protecting rolling doors and for collision protection. The safety light-beam sensors have a scanning range of up to 70 m and are particularly resistant to external influences. The BluePilot function helps you to align the sensors quickly and easily.
Safety multibeam sensors are particularly flexible. Thanks to software-free configuration of all functions and integrated status LEDs, nothing stands in the way of fast commissioning and alignment. The wide range of functions and scanning ranges as well as extensive diagnostic options open up a high level of flexibility in selecting the right solution for you.
Impressively easy
The standardized housing of the safety multibeam sensors makes commissioning very simple. The M12 plug connector as well as the uniform mounting systems help reduce assembly work.
Safety single-beam sensors and the deTem safety multibeam sensor offer you high flexibility in machine design. Thanks to their compact design, they can be easily integrated into different machines and placed in the smallest of gaps.
Efficient communication via IO-Link enables quick integration of the devices into your network. The highlight of the troubleshooting process is quick and simple diagnostics via IO-Link and NFC in real time. Using the free SICK Safety Assistant app, you can easily read out configuration and diagnostic data with a smartphone.
When external influences have no effect
Safety light-beam sensors are quick to clean and durable. Enclosure rating IP69K stands for effective leak tightness to prevent penetration of damaging influences such as dirt, dust and water into the sensor housing.
Special environments, such as explosion-hazardous areas, require rugged and reliable explosion-proof enclosures in accordance with international safety standards. For this purpose, SICK offers safety light-beam sensors that meet the requirements of ATEX device categories 3GD and 2GD.
With the patented and rugged VISTAL® housing, the safety light-beam sensors from SICK offer a high level of protection against external influences. This increases process reliability and plant availability. The high mechanical strength is achieved by glass fiber-reinforced plastic, which is high-strength and resistant to bending and chemicals.
Reliably detecting material – safeguarding people
Experience continuous material flow on conveyor belts thanks to temporary bridging of a safety multibeam sensor using muting. Material usually has to be transported into or out of hazardous areas during logistical processes. Safe material handling and worker protection are ensured by safe human-material differentiation.
Muting made simple
The deTem4 LT Muting A/P safety multibeam sensor ensure a simple installation and fast commissioning processes. The muting sensors are already pre-installed and aligned ex factory. In applications with automated pallet conveyor systems, they enable safe human-material differentiation.
The active and passive deTem4 A/P system ensures high flexibility and availability for access protection. For safe entry and exit monitoring, the scanning ranges of up to 8 m and the number of beams can be adapted to different requirements – simply choose between different muting sensors.
Make clever combinations with mirror columns and device columns
Mirror and device columns are used where safety light-beam sensors reach their limits in terms of mounting options and device protection. Device columns combined with mirror columns for beam deflection are the ideal solution for multi-sided protection in machining centers or at material locks with just one sensor pair. They combine a compact and rugged design with very high stability. In addition, they are universally applicable and do not require additional wiring.
