Detecting obstacles and objects on the road

Detecting potholes, walls or flat obstacles along the route reduces the risk of accidents and increases productivity. 2D LiDAR sensors assist the driver or the automated guided vehicle with detecting inconspicuous obstacles and barriers, and perform their measurements reliably and with great accuracy even over large distances. Furthermore, they are rugged under harsh ambient conditions and their low power consumption minimizes the overall operating costs. An alternative solution for detecting obstacles under challenging conditions is the Visionary-B PS 3D snapshot camera. It actively warns the driver of possible dangerous objects or larger holes within the configurable 3D detection areas.
