Intelligent use of the Hermes Standard in SMT lines

An unloading unit with SMEMA interface at the end of an SMT line can be retrofitted to the Hermes Standard cost-effectively using the Hermes SMEMA Connect SensorApp. Flexible expansion of the solution is also possible: The received Hermes data sets can be supplemented with the associated magazine ID using code readers from SICK and passed on to higher-level production systems through vertical integration. This is how an important cornerstone for digital work-in-process tracking can be implemented quickly and easily.
