Identification of printed circuit board magazines with UHF-RFID technology

In PCB production, automated guided carts (AGCs) transport the empty magazines to the unloader and remove the magazines filled with printed circuit boards. This is where the printed circuit boards, mostly marked with Data Matrix codes, are assigned to the magazines provided with RFID tags. These are then driven to a warehouse by an automated guided cart, where the printed circuit boards are temporarily stored before further processing in the assembly lines. The AGCs and unloading stations are equipped with an RFU61x for complete traceability. Thanks to its compact design, the RFID read/write device can be integrated in very small spaces in vehicles and SMD machines.
